Cautionary tale: Anna Delvey

Anna Sorokin pretended to be a wealthy German heiress under the name Anna Delvey and conned New York 's ellite by selling them a dream. Her story is made into Netfix 's Inventing Anna'.

1. Their stories keep changing. You will hear a lot of sub stories along with a consistent back story. Like it was confusing if she came from Russia or Germany. If her father was a solar panel manufacturer or a gangster. But everyone know she was a German heiress.

2. Use seduction and charm to get away with things. We all do that to get small favours. But watch out for people who are constantly seductive to get their way through especially for unreasonable, expensive favours.

3. Future Faking! They built entire businesses, building, plans out of nothing. There is always a conversation about these far-fetched ideas which honestly are a little difficult to digest but you do owning to the confidence they are spoken with.

4. Shape shifting: These individuals transform right in front of your eyes. It seems like you don't even know them. They choose their persona depending on the crowd, mood or people they are hanging out with. Talk about masks.

5. Rush! They create a sense of urgency in things. Suddenly plans are made. Suddenly you are dining at a 7 star, going to the best spas, traveling in private jets to exotic locations (btw all paid by them) this adventure like situation draws us to these people and makes them so addictive and exciting.
